Who We Are
I am Emily I’m from Manchester in the United Kingdom. I grew up in a small village in the Peak District and did a university degree in fine art before doing a post-graduate in teaching
I am Blair and I’m from Christchurch, New Zealand. I originally gained a degree in landscape architecture, then owned a furniture manufacturing business before moving into the online world over 10 years ago to pursue a more flexible life
Emily
My passion is art, particularly in the form of canvas painting and ceramics. I regularly exhibit my work and teach twice-weekly art classes. I have recently started developing a portfolio of NFT's which display a different direction on my physical artworks. Currently, I'm working on a series of art tutorial video courses which I'm looking forward to being able to promote to everyone.
Blair
I have been a volunteer surf lifeguard for over 30 years and a volunteer coastguard skipper for 20 years. Over the last 10 years there have been significant challenges to overcome including major earthquakes in my home town, cancer and of course Covid-19. All of these have made me stronger and resilient to adversity.
We met in Manchester when Blair was visiting on a work trip. Over the lockdown, we spent time in the Peak District and then returned to New Zealand where we now live by the ocean. We recently got married and share our world with two cats and a dog, all black and white!
Emily's passion for art and Blairs business experience in both the bricks & mortar and online space has led to the collaboration that is emilyandblair.com.
Running an online business enables us to work together and have flexibility in our lives.
